𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝑩𝒂𝒏 & 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒐 𝑫𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒅 𝑰𝒕

Recently I have been getting tons of reports from my students and seeing here on Facebook how a lot of people have been getting disabled for no reason at all. I myself was not exempted from this crisis that is being caused by Instagram’s Algorithm as I got three to four of my accounts disabled in one day.

There are many things on a normal day that could cause a Ban, contents that violates Instagram policies, Copyright issues, using banned hashtags on Instagram might not exactly cause a ban but if used repeatedly overtime, it will give your account a bad rep to the AI, which i believe gathers all these infos lil by lil over times.

Here is exactly how to check your Instagram to see how many strikes your account currently have

Go to settings → Help —> Support Requests —-Violations

In my 4 years as a Social Media manager growing Instagram accounts i only had about two accounts disabled before this month, which i got one back and the other i never did get back and i understood perfectly why. (If you are disabled for copyrights you will most likely never get it back, which is why i always talk about giving credit to the rightful owner when reposting contents) this month however has been a disaster, and not just me i noticed so many people in fact while making this post someone just sent me a DM that his account got disabled, accounts i hardly posted on also did get diabled.

So many posts on facebook about Disabled accounts this past week and i think it has to do with instagram’s bot. I would love to address business accounts first, people with Corporate or business accounts that have an LLC or registered with Documents that have had this issue.

Appeal for the Instagram account, don’t choose personal no matter the name of the account choose business, Instagram tends to take you seriously a lot more, when it is a business account, Fill out the form required and when asked for documents don’t submit an ID, passport or national ID. Rather submit documents of your Company or business, Tax filings or something of sort. Then go back to your mail after that and follow the instructions, repeat this for the next three days and if possible use different emails.

An important Note: When selecting a country, choose the United States. I don’t care where you’re from, but always pick the USA, they take the Americans a lot more seriously.

If you’re from Africa or any third world country like me from Nigeria, if you select your country there’s a whole probability you will get an error message that your request could not get through. I have no idea why they set the rules this way, but they always pick the USA.

When it comes to a personal account it’s far difficult but same process only that you select the personal option instead of Business, and yes still pick USA and not any other country, i think those in CANADA UK and AUSTRALIA can still pick their countries but i would just recommend the USA to be safe, appeal your accounts from at least 4 different emails if you can to get the best or fastest reply because with all these going on, i tell you a lot of people who appealed once never got a reply. You have to do this repeatedly.

Now what I tell people who keep getting banned after using a new account, and every time you login to a new account you get Banned or disabled. It means the Instagram bot probably flagged your IP or phone and sorry to say the best thing to do is Reset your phone, you can try to use a VPN and choose the United States as your IP but for how long? This isn’t even guaranteed to keep you safe, the best option is to reset your phone and get fresh new logins.
